That’s really obnoxious. I wonder if it will stand up in court when someone challenges it. Otherwise it’s a slippery slope and takes income away from photographers who shoot in iconic locations. What if every monument, public artwork, etc. starts having this clause?

From what I gather by reading the legalese HUDSON YARDS gets to use any photos etc you take of the Vessel.

But that doesn't appear to mean that a photographer can't also use the photos for whatever purpose.

The legalese appears to grant non exclusive use by Hudson Yards. Right?

Thus if AMAZON wants to shoot someone receiving an AMAZON parcel in the Vessel, I guess both AMAZON and Hudson Yards can use that material. Something that AMAZON might be happy about...

The policy apparently only applies to people who have signed up for a timed ticket to enter the Vessel.

So the Amazon package delivery example doesn’t apply.

Incredibly arrogant overreach by this company... disgusting actually.  This flies in the face of established copyright law and wouldn't have a chance in hell of holding up in court if it weren't for the special "contract" you agree to when reserving the tickets.

Personally I think buildings should have some respect for the surrounding architecture, and not turn NYC into a vapid open air modern art gallery.  Same goes for "The Oculus".  We're at the point where building technology can do anything the designer envisions.  With power comes responsibility.
