these things are always fun, but as one neighbor put it on her way out of the JH version the other week, "it's like lord of the flies in there."  :D

Does anyone know of other thrift or goodwill stores in the area that will accept donations that aren't clothes? The only places I know of that take household items seem to be in Astoria. I'd go to the Stop and Swap but I'm not a fan of crowds nor madness.

Maybe Salvation Army at 61st in Woodside?

Just an FYI for the Stop n Swap - they don't take furniture, but take everything else.   I understand if you don't like the crowds etal, but if you are dropping off, you don't fight the crowds and the reason it is that crowded is the items really are needed and appreciated by people, I always feel it's a great place to donate.
