Anthony Bourdain in Queens

His show of food around the world called Parts Unknown airs Sunday nights at 9 on CNN. Next Sunday, May 22 he's bringing it home to Queens. I bet JH will be a main feature. If you're out eating somewhere at that time you can also catch it on CNN On Demand.

Me too. Loved the guests also. Only dispute is that when we ask to clean up Roosevelt, we are really asking first to just
actually clean the street- physically - as it is filthy. But the episode felt authentic and when that one guy said something
like "Queens is where you wake up in the morning and you can just be whoever you are", I had to have me a good cry.

It really bothered me that he said the 7 train is above Jamaica avenue.

It would have been easy for him to do an episode based entirely on our amazing food options.  I mean, he could have done an entire episode for just about every neighborhood in our borough (probably two episodes in Jackson Heights alone).  I appreciate and respect that, instead, he chose to put most of the focus on our immigrant community.  I thought it was a timely, well-done episode.

A nice article about working with Bourdain by his assistant, Julie Woolever who does or did live in JH:

It sounds like he was a great guy to work for.
