prison will take care of the monserrate problem -- since there's no way the thug will beat the rap for slashing, stabbing and assaulting an innocent woman. let's just make sure he doesn't hand-pick an equally corrupt successor, by running as many 'identity politics' oriented challengers as possible.

Apparently, all is forgiven.

Only if we let it happen.
Imagine, for a moment, if someone hijacked a plane at Kennedy and kept it and its passengers hostage on the runway for a number of weeks and then, suddenly, let everyone go and came out of the plane and instead of being cuffed and driven to Central Booking was instead given the keys to the City, a ticker-tape parade and a Lotto like check.  Sounds improbable, totally ridiculous doesn't it?  Yet when the clowns in Albany--and Hiram was and is certainly one of them--said the circus show was over, and then proceeded to award themselves titles, perks and lulu monies didn't they push the envelope in a way that told us "Whacha gonna do about it?"  Well let's tell them; let's not let them get away with it.  In next year's election the noisy clowns and the silent senators who took no action and let the shenanigans go on--ALL of them need to go.
All is not forgiven.  Throw the bums out.   :tickedoff:

“This is just total bull,” Michael Bloomberg said, on his weekly radio show, of critics who said the administration doesn’t want to negotiate on mayoral control. “Hiram Monserrate, I don’t know what the heck he wants.” Bloomberg also said, “They want to have a slush fund” for parents.   :o

NY State Senator Goes To Trial In Sept.
NEW YORK (AP)

Embattled state Sen. Hiram Monserrate could lose his seat if he's convicted of assaulting his girlfriend during an argument.

A judge in Queens ruled Thursday that Monserrate will go to trial on Sept. 14.

Both say the incident was an accident and have asked the case be dismissed. But investigators say video shows him attacking her.

Monserrate was elected to the Senate after serving in the New York City Council.

He was one of the Democrats responsible for the coup that caused a monthlong leadership deadlock in the state Legislature.
