With the World Cup starting this week, does anyone have any recommendations for JH bars to watch the games?

La Gran Uruguaya and El Chivito for Uruguay games. Barriles will probably be the place to be for Colombia games. Lima Restaurant and Cevicheria El Rey for Peru games, La Fusta for Argentina games and pretty much all of Roosevelt Ave for Mexico games.

NY Times posted a short list of bars depending on which team is playing:

D'Antigua on Northern Blvd is mentioned as a possible hot spot for Colombia's matches.

See you guys there with arepas in hand!  ;D

Went to newly renovated Raices on 37ave/ 36th st to watch a game yesterday. I had never been there prior. I am big on ambiance ,and in regards to all the Colombian places in our 'hood, this is probably the best I've seen. Big space, hi ceiling, very clean, nice seating layouts , large full bar, good lighting. I was there during the day, and that place gets very nice natural lighting, lots of windows. The reviews online are mixed, that being said, I was pleased with the food I ordered, I keep it pretty simple when I'm ordering south amer food.
