How to repair peeling leather sofa?
« on: April 17, 2018, 02:16:14 PM »
I purchased a leather sofa 7 years ago. The sofa is still in very good shape except part of the sofa is peeling off. Can anyone recommend any product I can use to repair a peeling leather sofa? Thanks.

I used Magic Mender which you can purchase online.  It did a pretty good job on my leather chair.  The real difficulty is in matching the color.  I would recommend purchasing a few shades that are close to what you need and mixing them.  I went too dark on my initial try and it was a bit challenging to get it back to something that was acceptable.  It's not perfect, but it's not bad.  I also recommend reading all the material they have online and watching the how to videos (you can find them on youtube if you can't get them to play from their website).  I familiarized myself with the procedure pretty well before I gave it a go.  The product is fairly easy to work with, but you need to follow their instructions to a tee.

Thanks, I'll see if they sell it on Amazon. A neighbor also recommended Leather Studio, but I can't find anyone that sells it.
