Hello neighbors! We wanted to let you know that we will be open on Thanksgiving Day! Also, if you want us to cater your meal, we can do that as well.

Our catering menu includes sides, appetizers and desserts - you supply the turkey, we will provide as much of the rest as you want.

Let us know what you'd like before Monday the 25th and we'll have it ready for you to pick up on Wednesday or Thursday morning. The catering menu can be found here.

We'll be serving our scrumptious Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant from 3-7PM, and the bar will stay open after that if you want to swing by for some drinks. Our Thanksgiving menu can be found here.

If you're coming please make a reservation.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Upcoming Events!

So many things happening at The Q!

Dear friends and neighbors, this is a busy week for us as we gear up towards the holiday season. We have lots of events planned for you as we work hard to make The Queensboro a fun, comfortable, and warm destination for you!

Let's quickly break it down, and details on each events will be further down:

Today, Wednesday: Board Gaming night - fun for everyone, come alone, come with a partner or bring the kids, you'll have a great time trying out new games brought to you by the wonderful folks at ShenanigansNY!

Tomorrow, Thursday, we're looking forward to two events that we think will work well together.

First, join your neighbors from the Jackson Heights Climate Committee for a Solar Happy Hour from 6:30-8:30, and then at 8:30 Vinny and the Unknowns will perform once again, bringing us some great blues, rock and classics.

On Friday the Cold Club of Queens will perform around 9PM, so get ready for some beautiful Django-jazz inspired tunes!

We are open for Thanksgiving! Our menus for in-house dining and catering are now online over here.

Sunday will be another Sunday Supper day, we'll get you details about that day's dish very soon but if you want to ensure you get some (whatever it is you know it will be good) you really should make a reservation, and let us know that you want some of that Sunday Supper!

Wednesday

So you're interested in board gaming? Maybe your kids are? Or you want to meet new people, maybe make some friends? Shenanigans NY have partnered with us for several weeks now, and it has been a blast.

They bring a whole pile of really cool games, ranging from some of the classics to new ones that have just been released, and they'll show you how to play them, pair you with other players and generally just make sure that you have a good time.

It's happening every Wednesday from 6:30 to 10:30, and you can just show up and pay $5 to join in, or you can buy a ticket beforehand, and get discounts on your check, and you'll also be entered into a raffle for some cool prizes.

Click on the picture below to get your tickets and get ready to have some fun!

Thursday

The very cool people at The Queens Climate Project are working hard to make our neighborhood, and borough, better places to live in, so we're hosting them - and you! - for a happy hour on Thursday the 14th. Here is what they have to say:

-

"Hey Jackson Heights! We all know that NYC needs to get to 100% renewable energy fast, and what better community than ours – the most culturally diverse, politically active, all-around awesome neighborhood in the city -- to lead the way?  Transforming how we live will take nothing short of a revolution…and hey, revolutions always go down better with drinks in hand! So come talk sustainability at the JACKSON HEIGHTS GOES GREEN Happy Hours series the 2nd Thursday of every month, 6:30-8:30! (Stay on for the live music afterwards.)

Hope to see you at our kick-off event, JACKSON HEIGHTS GOES SOLAR, on November 14th. Come chat with neighbors who have already installed solar panels, enjoy drink specials, and learn how to make Jackson Heights even greener!"

-

And then... at 8:30 we'll be enjoying the music of Vinny & The Unknowns who will be playing an eclectic mix of pop, jazz, blues, rock covers and originals and more! You might know Vinny as the sound and stage person behind the JHBG Summer Sundays concerts in Travers Park. We're glad to support another local musician, especially when they are this much fun!

Friday

The Cold Club of Queens play some fantastically fun music inspired by Django Reinhardt who hit it big in the 1930's and 40's with his unique style of jazz. These guys below aren't that old but they play (probably) just as well and it's really worth checking them out. It's always a fun night when they perform, and we are looking forward to it!

Sunday

Sunday Supper! What is it? When is it? How does it work? There are so many questions, but luckily we have many answers.

In short, every Sunday starting at 5PM, feed your family (or 2-3 hungry adults) for around $45. That's not per person, that's it! You'll get a starter and a main course, served family-style and so far we have not disappointed!

This week's menu will be announced soon, so stay tuned. And make a reservation, always make a reservation!

Gift Cards

A quick note about Queensboro gift cards... teachers love them!

If you're wondering what to get your child's teacher for the holidays, consider purchasing a Queensboro gift card. There are a lot of teachers that come to The Q, and we have a feeling they'd appreciate something like that. You can buy them online here, and print them up yourself, or come in and buy them in person and we'll print them up for you!

Open on Thanksgiving!

We will open on Thanksgiving, serving dinner from 3PM to 7PM. We will also offer catering services. Our menus for the day are online now, go over here to take a look at them and if you do decide to come to The Q for dinner that day, then go ahead and make a reservation!

Drag Show Date Change - November 30th!

Please note that the Princess Party we had scheduled for the 23rd is now going to take place on the 30th, at the same time - 10PM. Make a reservation as soon as possible, we have a feeling it is going to be a great night!

Make a reservation and we'll contact you to take care of the next steps, or you can come to The Queensboro in person or give us a call at 929 296-0038.

Will there be enough food for a full dinner?
Yes, this is The Queensboro, so the quantity and range of food will be generous and excellent. Food includes passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet, pasta, pizza, raw bar, and dessert.

I have special dietary needs.
Please let us know when you purchase your tickets, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

We will do our best to honor all seating requests.  Even if this is not possible,  we envision this as a walk-around cocktail event and we would disappointed if people stayed in their assigned seats for any length of time.

What is the cancellation policy?
Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable, but if you are unable to attend then we can make them available for other people to buy them. Because of the strong interest in the party, last year we had a waitlist, so it will probably be easy to resell your tickets.

What is the closing time?

Wednesdays are for $12 Pizzas!

Hello neighbors! We're delighted to continue our $12 pizzas promotion today - any and all of our pizzas will only be $12 all night at The Q!

Also, if you're into board gaming at all, come on over to our little board gaming section that we're running with our friends at ShenanigansNY - a completely optional event that takes place in a corner of the restaurant. Bring friends, make new ones, play some games and have some fun!

The Jon Menges Trio Perform Thursday, along with an Oysters Special!

Jon Menges and his pals return tomorrow for an evening of extremely pleasant jazz. They'll go on about 8PM, and as an added bonus we'll be serving some fresh, local oysters once again - 6 oysters and your choice of a glass of cava, stout or rosé for $16!

If you think you'll come for this it would be wonderful if you were to make a reservation.

Aaaaaand Composting Happy Hour Thursday!

The wonderful people over at the Queens Climate Project will be at The Q tomorrow, discussing the importance of composting. Here is what they have to say about that:

Interested in meeting up with like-minded environmentalists in a casual venue? Come to the Jackson Heights Goes Green Happy Hour the second Thursday of every month, 6:30-8:30, at the Queensboro.  Each Happy Hour focuses on a different sustainability issue, this month it's composting! Chat with community members, exchange ideas, and learn how to make change happen at the local and city-wide level -- all while enjoying the Q’s signature drink specials!  Let’s start a green revolution one conversation at a time. Our next happy hour will happen on Thursday, December 12, hope to see you then!

Wednesday the 18th - El Clasico

Dear neighbors, dear soccer fans, we are very excited that the most important day of the most important sport ever is next Wednesday, when Barcelona and Real Madrid face off for the first time this season, on Barcelona's home turf, at 2PM EST.

There are many other teams in this sport, and there are many other sports, all with their rivalries and histories, and yes we are sure that they are very interesting. However, it is undeniable - and perhaps even proven by science - that they all pale in comparison to this long, bitter, heart wrenching clash that for generations has torn families apart, destroyed friendships, caused numerous deaths, and is probably responsible for several wars.

It's a beautiful thing, it's a beautiful game, and next Wednesday when we open our doors at 1:30, we will be serving beer and other great drinks at happy hour prices until 7PM, and $12 pizzas, and we will be showing the game on our big screen.

The match is at an awkward time of day for us here in the US, so we suggest that you lay the groundwork early to be able to call in sick on Wednesday. We hope that you will do everything that it takes to watch this match, and we would love it if you were to watch it with us.

El Clasico at The Q - 2PM Wednesday December 18th

What else is happening on Wednesday? We mentioned the $12 pizzas which we'll have available all evening, and it is our board game night as well! Stick around until 6:30 when the fine folks from Shenanigans NY come by to set up their 50+ board games for you to try!

Hot Chocolate for Kids, Happy Hour for Parents!

Hello snowy Jackson Heights! Well, that's what the forecast says, and we are big believers in the skills of our friends at the meteorological agencies, so we're preparing for snow on Saturday afternoon!

We thought it would be nice to open up our doors to the lovers of the snow-filled outdoors in the afternoon, so on Saturday from 4-6 we're offering free hot chocolate for kids!

If you've been playing in the park and want somewhere to dry off, our downstairs party room will be warm and you can let your kids relax there (but do please keep an eye on them) while they sip on their cocoa.

And for the parents, we're offering happy hour drinks prices from 4-6, which sounds pretty much like a win-win for everyone!

Music on Saturday

New year, new day for music! We're switching our weekly musical performances to Saturdays and we're starting off with a true wizard of the jazz guitar world, none other than local legend Jim Hershman! He'll be playing with his pal Peter Brendler on bass, it should be a really good show so make a reservation if you want to come!

Sunday Supper Lasagne Edition

This week our Sunday Supper is going to feature lasagne and arugula salad and garlic bread. For $45 you'll be able to feed your family or a small group of adults.

You should also make a reservation to let us know that you're coming for the Sunday Supper so we can plan accordingly.

Specials, and Upcoming Events!

Dear neighbors, we'd like to quickly update you on what's happening at The Q and what we've got planned for the weeks ahead.

But first, a little chest-beating! Did you know that ThrillistNY named us the best brunch spot in Jackson Heights? Well now you do! And if you want to read more about it, all you have to do is click here. Needless to say we're very happy about this and will continue to work hard to make The Queensboro a great spot for brunch, and dinner, and drinks, to go along with all the other great spots in Jackson Heights that we love!

If you look below, you'll see that we're hosting a Superbowl party, and we'll be sending out information soon about our Oscars night party, and we're bringing back our babysitting option on Valentine's Day. But first let's talk about those specials...

Today - $12 pizzas! All of our pizzas are $12 all night, so scrap those dinner plans and make it a pizza night with this great deal.

Also today, it's Board Game Night from 6:30-10:30! If you want to come for the gaming, it's best to book it online here and you'll get a discount on your meal and a chance to win really nice prizes in the raffle! You can also walk in and pay five bucks if you'd prefer to do that, we're nothing if not flexible.

Stay tuned for a special Teenager Board Game Night coming next month!

Tomorrow - it's Oyster Special Thursday - half a dozen fresh, local oysters and a glass of rosé, or cava, or stout, for only $16!

Don't forget about our Happy Hour every weekday at the bar until 7PM! Draft beers, $5. House wines, $7. House cocktails, $8. Cheap and cheerful is how we roll!

Music on Saturday!

This Saturday, starting at 9PM we're featuring the latin sounds of Iguana Mandata! They'll be playing as a duo this week and they're really fun to listen to, playing a wide range of latin music, from Cumbia to Spanish Pop and a lot more.

If you like to dance you could come on Saturday and dance to their music, why not!

Sunday Supper Lunar New Year Edition

It's the Chinese New Year on Saturday! We're going to make a celebratory Sunday Supper, with steamed fish, won-tons and spring rolls. Our Sunday Suppers are usually $45 - unless otherwise noted - for a meal that feeds a family, or a handful of adults, a delicious deal!

Quantities are limited, so if you're coming, let us know when you make your reservation please.

Superbowl on February 2nd!

It's the Superbowl, again! It seems like just a year ago when the last one took place, and here we are once more! It starts at 6:30 and we'll be showing it on our big screen.

Chef Tony is going to be making some wonderful Superbowl food again, like Buffalo wings, Thai style wings, Buffalo cauliflower, hot dogs, nachos, and more, including more vegetarian options!

If you want to come watch the game you should book early to make sure you get a seat near the screen and you can do that right over here - look for the "Superbowl" labelled tables.

There will be no Sunday Supper that day.

This time Steffen will be pairing his artisanal cheeses with wines from The Queensboro’s cellars. The evening promises to edify your palate and your mind. The last event sold out, so we encourage you to book your seats early.

The evening will set you back a mere $25 for 3 wine/cheese pairings.

Saturday February 8th, 9PM The Cold Club of Queens!

This Saturday join us for a performance by the Cold Club of Queens - enjoy some toe-tapping Django-inspired jazz while sipping on a drink, or enjoying some of our dishes!

These local guys might look like troublemakers, but they are completely harmless and they are fantastic musicians who are a lot of fun to listen to, so come on by and check them out on Saturday!

This Month's Sunday Suppers

The Super Bowl is over, so Sunday Suppers are back! These are meals that we offer every Sunday that are designed to feed a family, or a handful of adults for one low price. Usually $45 unless otherwise noted.

2.) All toddlers over 6 months of age must be neutered or spayed
3.) No aggressive toddlers
