Frozen Margaritas?
« on: March 16, 2009, 01:36:02 PM »
With all the mexican places in the area, I was wondering if anyone knows of a bar or restaurant with good frozen margaritas?  Preferably flavored.

I don't know from personal experience, but was thinking you could check the place called "Las Margaritas" at 83-22 37th Ave.  It's not Mexican;it's more of a Latin mix but their bar is fairly prominent and with a name like that you would think they would have margaritas on the menu.

Another place I've never tried but seems to have margaritas is the Mexican restaurant Plaza Garibaldi at 89th and Roosevelt.  It got two good reviews on yelp

Maybe the soon to open El Coyote restaurant on Northern Blvd. will offer flavored frozen margaritas.  According to the blog, Jackson Heights, NYC's Garden Neighborhood, El Coyote also has a branch in Connecticut.  The Connecticut menu does include flavored margaritas, so maybe we'll have some here too.

Here's a link to the CT El Coyote (check out the bar section):

JHL has a thread on El Coyote.  You'll find it here:

I've had some frozen margaritas at Las Margaritas. The Mango one was great.  Novo makes nice margaritas, and if you ask they can make them frozen for you.
