This doesn't look like the largest development in the world -- just two buildings, each with 3 units at 2250 square feet per unit. The building height will be 33 feet.

The article suggests it will probably be condos. 2250 square feet is a really large unit!

It seems like lately there's a steady growth just outisde the perimeter of the historic district, where builders can get approval to take smaller homes and build larger buildings.

that same sort of thing happened in western Astoria, especially along Ditmars and 23rd - where dozens of beautiful old homes - a century old or more in some cases - were razed to put up 4-6 unit boxes.
