looking to adopt a kitten
« on: November 22, 2008, 03:37:26 PM »
Hi.

We are deeply sadden at the sudden death of one of our pets - a Bombay cat named Toby.
We are looking for a new kitten to keep our other cat company.

Anyone know of kittens for adoption?

I adopted two cats from the NYC Animal Care and Control. They currently have many kittens available at the Brooklyn location. Here is their link.

I got this email just a few days ago:

You or someone you know looking for a loving feline friend to cuddle
with this winter?
I volunteer for Empty Cages Collective, and we have wonderful & sweet
cats & kittens ready to be adopted.
All of our cats have been rescued from our Trap-Neuter-Return efforts
in New York City, or brought to us to bottle-raise and socialize by
other rescuers and the public.

Please spread the word-unfortunately our cages are not empty at the
moment
You can see some of the great felines on our Petfinder site (link
below)

Thank you!

Earbears,
Our sympathies on your loss of Toby.  We rescued a wonderful kitten in early September and so far, we haven't found her a home.  Admittedly, we haven't made the greatest efforts since we got her assimilated.  We have our share, so we're still trying to find her the right home.

Here's the link to the original pictures:

http://www.thegriswold.org/hurricane-hanna/  She's about 4 months old and very well adjusted to us and our other cats.  E-mail me for details/more pics/etc.

hi,

Sorry for your loss, I know well how that feels.  I have been fostering a male tuxedo cat, 14 months old and completely vetted.  I have two very senior cats who want nothing to do with him.  He would love a playmate.  I just listed him on Craigslist this morning.  His temporary name is Milton. If you think Milton might be the one, please email me. If you prefer a kitten, I work with a rescuer, Sandra.
You can call her at 718 204-7339. She has a lot of kittens.
Whatever you decide, thanks for adopting!
