Local Elections
« on: October 07, 2016, 08:49:31 AM »
With election approaching in November, wanted to inquire if there's any crucial local elections we should be aware of / local issues being voted on?

Presidential race dominates the headlines, but local elections have more of an impact on our everyday lives.

I'm not knowledgable on our local politics, but would like to know and participate.

i don't think any of the local offices are going to be terribly contested. Republicans tend not to bother too much with this district, given the overwhelming number of Dem. voters.

that said, i really do like our congressman, Joe Crowley, and our councilman, Danny Dromm. Dromm will be term limited out after the next election, fwiw.

i am not certain about ballot issues. don't recall seeing much about any this time around.
