Interested in eating local?  Want to eat organic?  Want to support sustainable farming?

You can do all three by joining Farm Spot, Jackson Heights’ Community Supported Agriculture program!

During the harvest season, beginning May 28th and ending on November 19th 2015, Farm Spot members come to St. Mark’s Church (33-50 82nd Street) on Thursdays anytime from 5:30-8:15 p.m. to pick up a share of produce each week.

Since Farm Spot is a volunteer-run endeavor, each member is asked to give a minimum of 4 hours of their time during the year to keep the CSA running. Volunteer responsibilities primarily involve working at weekly distribution, but can also be fulfilled by participating in the low income task force, data entry, special events and vendor recruitment. Please visit the volunteering page for more information.

Membership includes a weekly newsletter from the farm with recipes and information, and CSA events include cooking demonstrations and farm trips.
