We like the green-sauced enchiladas from el Rico Tinto. No website (yet?), but here's the menu

I have noticed that Coatzingo is going downhill too, Guadalajara Del noche is good but not as good as Coatzingo was. I am looking forward to a good replacement! The one thing I can say with absolute confidence is that De Mole, in Woodside is delicious (but not deliverable here). Still, if you haven't tried it, you must.

Two outstanding local Mexican restaurants that deliver

Wait, isn't Maravillas the place in that other thread that at night turns into a major crime problem?

I wasn't even going to comment on the other thread, but should put my support here for Maravillas. I start my night tours there and have never had even close to a problem there. Also, the food is excellent, one of my favorites in that area.

Another favorite is Bella Puebla, which I've been eyeing for years but only ate there recently. Excellent stuff, and I believe the daughter is born here so no english problems. http://ny.eater.com/2014/7/22/6173261/eat-tacos-youve-never-heard-of-at-queens-bella-puebla - If you go there, you can see all the stews which are specials of the day. I don't know yet about tortas and tacos yet, but I believe you can't go wrong with any proper dinners.

I'm also pretty sure tortas neza delivers, but you'd have to stop by his place which is located at Juan Bar and get his number from there. 96-15 Roosevelt Avenue

as always, a great tip from Jeff.  Bell Puebla is fantastic.  Great mole (poblano and pipian) and the somewhat bizarre, very large chile relleno is a mighty meal in itself.  Also tried the very unique Cuban cemita--almost worthy of Tortas Neza in its abundance.  And they're on Seamless.  Give it a try, everyone.

Are there any good Mexican restaurants with delivery left?
« Reply #21 on: November 01, 2015, 06:17:11 PM »
Basically, Yelp and Seamless reviewers seem to agree that every single Mexican restaurant in our neighborhood has gone downhill. If I'm willing to go out, I go to the taco trucks on Roosevelt, which are lovely, but sometimes I just want a big enchilada delivered in a bag to my house. Are any of the options still viable?

As an initial matter, I wouldn't trust Seamless reviews as far as I can throw them -- people don't take time to leave positive reviews on there as often as they take the time to go on there and zing restaurants for some minor delivery malfeasance.  Yelp is slightly better, except that, as with predecessors like Chowhound, reviewers seem to delight in nothing more than remarking that "X restaurant has gone downhill," or that "there is no good [insert type of food] in Jackson Heights anymore."  But enough with my rant.  As for your specific question, I have had great luck with Juquila.  They are on Seamless, and while I haven't had their enchiladas, their burritos, tacos, various platos, and their Mexican Cobb salad have all been solid, and really quite tasty indeed! I order from them on a fairly regular basis, and have not been let down yet.  And if you are in the mood to leave the apartment, their physical location has a pretty cute atmosphere too (not your standard former-travel-agency drop-ceiling-and-plastic-tables delivery joint).

El Rico Tinto delivers, and that's become our go to, especially for the Cochinita Pibil and seafood tacos. their guacamole is really terrific as well, chunky, fresh and seasoned nicely.

I personally really like Genesis on Woodside Ave., though for some strange reason they also serve Thai/Chinese food (a few dishes, anyway). But their tacos, enchiladas, and quesadillas are great and I'm pretty sure they deliver. I've been meaning to check out Juquila as well, looks like a nice place.

Thanks for the suggestion of Juquila on 83rd street.  We ate there on Friday evening and had a delicious meal!  The menu is terrific, the food was excellent, and the service was very nice.  This is likely to be our go-to Mexican place in the neighborhood.  In the past we either went to De Mole in Astoria or Sunnyside, or Nixtamal in Corona.  Juquila is an excellent option and we can simply walk over, or call for delivery.

Toro Bravo is delicious.  Especially their soups.  And sandwich breads are fantastic.
