Brick Cafe Astoria / LIC
« on: August 20, 2008, 08:12:33 AM »
Has anyone been to Brick Cafe in Long Island City?   It's on the corner of 31st Avenue and 33rd Street.   http://www.brickcafe.com/

The food is great.  When you sit at the table, they bring out the bread and a small dish with a spread that is to die for.  It contains Olive Oil, Garlic and grounded Black Olives.   It is simply delicious!

They have outdoor seating which in the summer is great as it has been discussed in another thread.

I've passed by Brick the couple times I've gone to Hell's Gate for their Italian food.  It's next on my list.  Chuckster, you hear this? Brick, baby, when I come back next week?
First, do no harm.

I'm listening Buddy...that sounds good to me.  I was looking at Brick's brunch menu a few days ago.  I thought a traditional brunch menu would include some type of breakfast food?
The Chuckster has spoken!

Brick does one of the best omelets in Astoria light, thin, almost crepe-like. My favorite is with merguez, goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes. I don't know if they put it on the regular menu or if it's still just a special but it is delicious.

Oh, and after an overpriced evening at Winegasm where they brought us several postage stamp sized cheese slivers that we summarily sent back for resizing, we realized Brick had a better wine selection and pricing.
