Fatal shooting in Elmhurst

A 22-year-old man was shot to death in Queens early Saturday after he was asked if he belonged to a local street gang, police sources said.

Steve Perez was hanging out on Elmhurst Ave. and Elbertson St.in Elmhurst with two friends when three men approached about 12:45 a.m.

“Are you ABK?” one man asked before pulling a gun and shooting Perez in the back and stomach, sources said.
