There is some controversery about Maum meditation - if you search this on the internet - some people believe it is a cult.  I don't know enough about it to comment either way, but be aware.

I think "it's a cult" is the logical conclusion to reach just reading the literature they were giving out at the farmer's market.

Hi -- I'm aware of the controversy around Maum, but for this particular story we felt we could leave it up to the readers to make a decision. This was a brief introduction the space and its upcoming open house.

There weren't any formal complaints about the other two Queens locations, and I am going to stay on top of any issues with the 82nd Street space.
