You can do it, Daisy! Finding it is part of the fun

Does anyone have an exact address for this?  Or is it cart only?  I've looked several times for a sign on one of the storefronts that says Esquina and I can't find one.  Is it located within something else?

I finally got a chance to try this.  It was delicious!  Definitely get the hot sauce.

They have added some things to their menu; such as fried shark tacos and octopus tacos. They also will be making free deliveries.

thanks for recommending this place. It is -- as everyone here says -- amazing. Eating inside is cozy but surprisingly pleasant.

I'm sorry, but I've been having trouble locating exactly where this is on 80th St. and Roosevelt.

North or south side?    Is it inside of a Bodega?  If so, what is the name of the bodega?

Based on the reviews, I want to recommend this place to someone I know who is currently writing a Queens culture guide. But I need to try it first! Or, barring that locate exactly where it is!

Thanks

It is in the back of the seemingly-no-name bodega on the southeast corner. Again, best empanada ever. We've also had the octopus taco and shark flautas - good, but no empanada!

Great.  Found it, thanks.

I thought it was there, but the past two times I went there it wasnt open.

Today, scored an amazing fish empanada.  Best $2 i've spent all week.

And don't forget the seafood cocktail.  Absolutely perfect on a hot day.  I've started buying it by the quart.

That's the next thing we are going to try...in addition to empanadas, of course!

Finally made it to La Esquina de Camaron. We planned to get the shrimp and octopus cocktail (it's "Shrimp Corner" after all) but were distracted by the taco options:

We went with one fried fish taco with cilantro, chopped raw onion and a wedge of lime, and one grilled fish taco with soft carmelized onions and lime. The salsa for the table was nice and hot in a fruity/peppery kind of way.

It was delicious and filling lunch for two for $6, plus tip and the price of a soda bought from the bodega up front.

We'll save the cocktails and empanadas for a refreshing lunch on a hot day -- looks like we have one coming up tomorrow  :)

There is also notable ceviche sold at the little bodega/shop on  86th and 37th.
I've seen people waiting in line for that. Only on weekends though.
