Hi,

Where can I find a cheap and comfortable NEW couch in Queens?  Any recommendations with local business in Jackson Heights or Astoria?

For cheap and comfortable, I would go to Ikea.  There are a few furniture stores in Elmhurst around Queens Blvd and Broadway and a few blocks to the East.  Not sure of quality or price, though.

We just bought a great couch at Urban Life on Steinway Street in Astoria. A nice midcentury modern style:

That couch looks great!  Thank you for the recommendation.  I'll check them out.

IKEA really isn't that bad, a lot of their couches come with a warranty. We've had ours for about 7 years and it's still holding up and will probably be around for a couple more years. There's a flat $100-ish delivery fee regardless of how much stuff you buy, too.
