My contractor is Henry Almeida: 347-804-8171. He has done many jobs for me from built-in bookcases to a full-fledged kitchen renovation. Photo attached.

He is working on my JH bathroom right now. I can't speak highly enough of him. Totally reliable. Comes in on budget and on time. And is a good troubleshooter and real partner in our projects.

Does he do small jobs as well?  Is he licensed?  Did you have custom cabinets made or did he install them?

Hi,

I just called the number listed and was told it's incorrect.  Can you reply or PM me how to contact Henry?  Thanks!

Liz, the cabinets in the photo were ordered from Home Depot and are Kraft Maid semi custom. I think this line is discontinued, though. It was Italian made.

Valerie, I typed wrong. Sorry! Henry's number is 347-804-6171.

Henry is not cheap. I have to say. But he is worth every penny to me in that 1. He is licensed and insured for co-ops; 2. He understands how co-ops work and he will work with your building to make sure the renovation is not a nuisance 3. his crew are trustworthy and clean. I've been through three projects with him while I worked all day at the office and he worked all day in my apartment and nothing was ever amiss. In fact, he received all my deliveries for me. 4. He is neat and clean. He removes all rubble the same day he works. 5. He is on time. If you want to go on vacation and have him finish while you are away he will be true to his word. 6. He has design sense. If something is clashing unexpectedly, he will bring it to your attention with a suggestion of how to resolve it.

So, he's not cheap. Sorry! (I do have some other recommendations for when budget is an unmovable issue.) What Henry is, is careful, exacting, and collaborative. You will get what you want. In my experience, priceless.

Could you please, pm124, cite an example of any problems you had with James to warrant a complaint. was he in a hurry? was he sloppy? did he not know what he was doing?

Hopefully James will also chime in as to what occurred on this job.

I threw James out of my house mid way thru his work  and had to hire someone to do it correctly. Very, very sloppy and unprofessional. If you would like details, feel free to pm me. And, it was just a paint job!
